Welcome to Bailey's Bookshelf

I am so glad y'all are here! I am starting this blog to share my love of books with likeminded folks. A little about me, I hail from the beautiful Four Corners Area and have lived here most of my life with some time spent in California and Tennessee. I spent a lot of my childhood living with my grandmother, a college professor, whom instilled a deep love of books, reading and knowledge from a young age.

During my childhood, I frequently visited the nearby library and turned to books and reading as a means of dealing with and getting away from my challenging home environment. Amid the bookshelves, I encountered excitement, companionship, a sense of belonging, faced sorrow and grief, and discovered a path to steer through my own journey.

As an adult I have fallen back in love with reading and in 2023 I read a staggering 184 books! My goal for 2024 is 200 books, and at the time of writing this I have read 123 books thus far(woot woot!) I will read just about anything, so if you have a suggestion, please don't hesitate to reach out. Warning though, my TBR is already pretty long so it may take me a while to get to your suggestions.

This blog will have a focus on Romance books, so if those aren't what you are looking for then this is not the blog for you! With all of that out of the way, I hope you stick around, find your next book, and enjoy my content!
